You never know when an opportunity may present itself and that is exactly how Nick and Shawna Sjaarda became owners of Midwest Dog Boarding in Beaver Creek. The previous owners approached Nick about purchasing the business in 2022. Nick and Shawna bought the business but not the buildings. In 2023 the Sjaarda's purchased the building, acreage and house on the property. Along with dog boarding the Sjaarda's have an Airbnb. The dog and cat boarding business has grown each month. Nick and Shawna enjoy working with their customers to care for their furry loved ones and learning the personality traits of each pet.
