Sheriff Evan Verbrugge invited us to the Rock County Law Enforcement center. Sheriff Verbrugge along with Deputy Jeff Stratton gave a tour of the facility, explained how different areas functions, and put all the young professionals in the Holding Cell! Deputy Stratton and Kiesli demonstrated how the handcuffs work. Sheriff Verbrugge shared the requirements of getting a law enforcement degree, the variety of jobs, wages and benefits. He also shared the why of Law Enforcement: 1.) Variety of duties, 2.) opportunity to make a difference in people's lives, 3.) ability to serve the community, 4.) varied hours with earning potential. Sheriff Verbrugge made the decision in 8th grade to be in law enforcement and has served for 33 years. Thank you for your service and for hosting a SWMN CEO visit!
